Hip Hop Ya Don't Stop

The week was spent in Grangemouth Town Hall with 31 dancers, 10 bits of hardboard, 40 spray cans, 2 teachers and 2 helpers.

We managed to create a dance piece almost totally devised by the dancers which lasted 20 minutes all about their experiences learning to spray paint with Nico!

The dancers also created some amazing works of spray art which we displayed all around the dance space so the audience could see on last day.

I had a fantastic time during the week as the group were very enthusiastic and full of ideas.

Hopefully will get the chance to do it again!

End of Term Show, 23rd June 2007 - Grangemouth Town Hall

Congratulations to all of the dancers and teachers involved in bringing the end of term show together this year.  I was very proud and happy to see everyone up on stage, having fun and showing all the parents and other dancers what you have achieved this year.  Its also great to see you all advancing in your dance careers, learning more each year and supporting each other throughout the show.

As most of you know, Aileen Stewart, our new teacher, created some dances for her first show with us which were very successful.

Thanks to all of the parents for your continual support with our shows.  Its wonderful to see so many of you there supporting the dancers and adding to the general excitment of the evening.

So congratulations again everyone and see you all next term!

Ready Steady Show 2007

Well its all over again for another year..  "Swashbuckling Adventures"  was a brilliant show full of Pirates, Mermaids, storytelling and song.

The cast were energetic and worked hard with all of the production team to pull together a full performance piece in a week!

As always I am amazed that the children involved remember the songs and dances and then go on to perform such a fantastic show.

I would also like to thank my co-workers for their support and hard work through the week. It was a pleasure to work with both Karen and Jan.

So thanks to all involved for a great week, yet again and look forward to working with you all in the future!!

Crash, Bang Wallop's Big Fundraiser 2006

Our big fundraiser was held in Bonnybridge community centre on October 28th, 2006 and was supported by Falkirk Council.

The fundraiser helped us raise money to buy costumes for our January Extravaganza in the MacRobert Arts Centre, Stirling.

To help us raise this money, we offered one day of dance and fun which included breakdance, capoeira, drumming with John Nicolson, drama with Joanna Harte and circus skills with Alan Goldie.

During the day there was a tuck shop as well as a bouncy castle, face painting, craft activities and tombola stall, to name but a few.
